The difference Between High-speed Bearing and Ordinary Bearing

The difference Between High-speed Bearing and Ordinary Bearing

High-speed bearings require precise dynamic balance of the rotating system where the bearing is located, and the shaft and seat hole where the bearing is installed should have dimensional accuracy and shape and position accuracy higher than the general requirements. The shaft support system requires both high rigidity and light weight as much as possible. In order to overcome this contradiction, measures such as reducing surface roughness and improving surface strengthening can be taken to increase the support rigidity, and hollow shafts can be used to reduce system mass.

Ⅰ. Different functions of high-speed bearing and ordinary bearing

1. Ordinary bearing: It is an important part of contemporary mechanical equipment. Its main function is to support the mechanical rotating body, reduce the friction coefficient during its movement, and ensure its rotation accuracy.

2. High-speed bearing: In order to ensure the small deformation of the raceway after the bearing is installed, the centrifugal force at high speed and the thermal expansion at high temperature, or offset the normal pressure of the mating surface, or relax the mating surface.

Ⅱ. Different characteristics of high-speed bearing and ordinary bearing

1. Ordinary bearing: Hardness is one of the important qualities of bearing quality, which has an indirect influence on contact fatigue strength, wear resistance, and elastic limit. The hardness of the bearing steel under the operating conditions must reach HRC61~65, which enables the bearing to achieve higher contact fatigue strength and wear resistance.

2. High-speed bearing: Rolling bearings whose Dmn value exceeds 1.0x106mm.r/min, where Dm is the average diameter of the rolling bearing and n is the rotational speed of the inner ring. In practical applications, the Dmn value of high-speed imported bearings has reached 3.0x106mm.r/min.
